TECHNOLOGY

Lasersport is played with authentic but de-activated 12-bore shotguns, each system having 5 Laser guns with standard over and under barrels and an electronic control module with a digital scoreboard

Incorporated in the guns is a dedicated microchip that controls the infra-red beams fired by the guns. Each gun has a unique beam so that the scores can be calculated for each player.

An individual radio transmitter sends information from each gun to the control module, which reproduces the realistic ‘bang’, works out the scores and displays them on its large integral scoreboard.

An indicator located on top of the gun barrel instantly tells the player whether he has hit or missed the target. Optical transmitter and receiver units are located at the end of the barrels of the guns.
